Repair and maintenance of conventional CNC or Swiss CNC machine tools. Experience required in maintenance/repair of electrical and mechanical systems, including use of tools and equipment to troubleshoot, test, and repair. Responsible for preventative maintenance systems, maintaining repair parts inventory, and working with outside product support as necessary.
Currently offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus. Relocation package is negotiable.

Open position for a team member in our shipping department who will be responsible for sorting, inspecting, deburring, final quality checking, and packaging product in preparation for delivery to meet customer requirements. Must have an eye for detail and able to read blueprints and follow work instructions. Proficiency with computers, internet, and shipping software programs is desirable.

Job Summary
Setup Technicians will setup a variety of CNC Turning, CNC Swiss Turning, and CNC Milling machines. Technicians must be proficient with the operations of these machine tools and proficient in reading technical blueprints with the ability to create and follow work instructions to consistently perform setups. The Technician is expected to meet performance standards, continuously improve those standards, and assure a smooth transition of the setup to the following machine operator. Technicians must facilitate production by inputting and analyzing production related data and provide leadership in assuring efficient and timely output and quality of product.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform and troubleshoot machine setups using detailed blueprints, setup instructions, manufacturing processes, tooling needs, and estimated setup and cycle times to manufacture the part to print
- Develop, maintain and follow detailed setup and work instructions to efficiently manufacture parts
- Maintain standards and routings for setup times and cycle times
- Lead the continuous improvement efforts to implement improvements to those standards
- Ensure quality of parts through use of appropriate inspection equipment (Micrometers, Calipers, CMM, Vision, etc.)
- Operate machines and produce parts, as necessary, or promote the orderly transition of the setup to the trailing operator
- Train and assist machine operators as necessary
- Document work by completing all required paperwork and/or data entry. Turn in all required paperwork and or complete data entry in a timely manner
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Other miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as required by the position
Reporting Relationships
The Setup Technician reports directly to the Process Engineer in the designated area and has responsibility to transition the setup machine to a subsequent operator and assist in troubleshooting.
Job Specifications
Skills & Knowledge:
- Three + years of experience in machine tool operations and setup
- Degree/certificate/on-the-job training in related machine tool technology field
- Experience with tools & equipment used to setup and troubleshoot CNC machine tools.
- Able to plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage own work. Able to work unsupervised and solve routine problems independently, effectively and creatively
- Able to perform setups within allotted routing times and works and seeks to continuously improve on those setup times better utilizing tooling, alternative tooling, or creative methods and techniques
- Able to transition the machine setup to the subsequent operator for efficient production
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
- Occasional overtime required in order to meet customer and production demands
- Regularly exposed to machine oil and coolants
- Continuous (67%+) trunk bending/stooping, trunk turning/twisting & reaching out
- Frequent (34-66%) kneeling, wrist turning, grasping, pinching, neck bending, neck turning
- Occasional (11-33%) squatting/crouching, reaching up above shoulder height
- Frequent lifting of 1-10 lbs. Occasional lifting of 11-35 lbs.

- Demonstrate ability to successfully operate, setup, and program various machine tools
- Demonstrate ability to follow and maintain documented setup procedures and instructions
- Demonstrated ability to interact with co-workers & management in a positive & productive manner
- Demonstrated ability to stay current with new technology on machine tools
- Demonstrate knowledge of safety requirements – general safety, Lock-Out/Tag-out, ESD
